Legal Administration Apprentice

We have an exciting opportunity for a Legal Administration Apprentice to join Afsar Williams Solicitors. Your role will be to provide Administrative support to help the firm run smoothly and offer assistance to our current team with any tasks we require.

The purpose of the role is to assist with daily administrative tasks and provide support to solicitors as and when required.

  • Undertaking specific tasks on live case files subject to supervision
  • Drafting correspondences such as letters, emails, etc.
  • Photocopying and scanning documents
  • Greeting clients and advising staff of their arrival
  • Answering and transferring calls
  • Developing your knowledge of the business and the areas in work that they specialise in

Training

  • Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard with Damar Training

Prospects

It is within our intention that the completion of the apprenticeship will lead to a permanent position at the firm and career progression in the legal industry. A previous apprentice progressed to a Paralegal role and is on their way to becoming a qualified Solicitor.

Casework Assistant | Admin Support | Interpreter

We are seeking an individual who can handle a variety of tasks, including casework assistance, administrative support, and interpretation. This role is open to both part-time and full-time candidates.

𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬

  • Assist solicitors with casework and legal documentation
  • Provide administrative support such as setting a file, drafting correspondence, answering and transferring calls.
  • Serve as an interpreter for clients during consultations and court appearances
  • Maintain and organise files
  • Perform other duties as assigned

𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬

  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Vietnamese
  • Must have at least one year of valid visa remaining
  • Experience in legal assistance is preferred but not required
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Social Media
