Lasting Powers of Attorney

Lasting Powers of Attorney

If the donor is unable to manage their own proceedings their lasting power of attorney is someone, they chose themselves whilst they still had the mental capacity to do so. When appointing an LPA there will be a third party acting as an independent certificate provider when the document is being made, this is to verify the donor still obtains mental capacity at that time and is making it of their own free will. That appointed person will take over the responsibility of the donor’s bank accounts, bills, investments, and properties and will act on their behalf in your best interests.
